CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College North Lake's Romiel Carter was selected as a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III First Team All-American.

A freshman forward from Carrollton, Texas, Carter averaged 15.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.8 steals and just under a block per game. He scored a season-high 29 points against Temple College Nov. 21, and had 20 or more points in eight games. He had a season-high 15 rebounds in a 74-73 victory over Dallas College Cedar Valley Dec. 17, and grabbed 14 boards in the NJCAA Division III Third Place loss to Salem Community College. Carter finished with double-digit rebounds in seven games. He had four steals in two games and three blocks in the 101-79 South Central District Championship win over Dallas College Brookhaven.

Carter is one of four Dallas Athletic Conference players who earned All-America recognition, joining Dallas College Richland's Jase Tarver on the First Team. Dallas College Eastfield's Braydon Campbell was a Third Team All-American, and teammate Martez James was an Honorable Mention All-American.
